Mizuno Men's MP18 SC Irons

The Ultimate In Feel, Control, And Precision

Through the years, “MP” has been synonymous for serious golfers with irons that featured aesthetic beauty and performance built around control and precision. And while it has been a couple of years since Mizuno released a new MP iron, the company is back in a big way with its MP-18 lineup, which offers three unique models to meet the needs of any golfer. More specifically, the MP-18 SC (split cavity) is a compact, cavity set that has been designed to meet the needs of better players. When compared to the MP-18, the SC model has a sole design that’s slightly wider and features more camber to provide increased forgiveness on mis-hits. The overall head shape is also a bit larger, but the MP-18 SC irons still feature thin toplines and minimal offset. And like the MP-18s, the SC irons also utilize a new high-density Grain Flow forging process that creates impact feel and acoustics that are more solid and even softer than what Mizuno has long been known for. Additionally, the 1025E carbon steel that has been used in constructing the clubheads contributes to the MP-18 SC’s soft feel and also provide more consistent results in terms of distance, spin, and trajectory. They also feature a Satin Nickel Chrome finish that offers a rare combination of durability and elegance, while also ensuring that players won’t have to worry about glare on sunny days. Mizuno’s new MP-18 SC irons are available in a 3-PW set makeup and come standard with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and Golf Pride MCC grips.

Mizuno Men's MP18 SC Irons #3-PW KBS Tour Steel Stiff Right is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from worth the buy!! very solid set of clubs for player's club, I've played Titleist sets for my last 3 sets and these are just as comparable to them, looks great at address. Solid feel and feedback on contact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Confidence Inspiring - classic irons Got fitted (must do, its free) for the first time. Tried the P790, JPX900, Taylormade 770, Titleist AP2 and the MP-18s. I hit the P790s way too far... PW was going 155 yds. Loved them, however, could not gap them properly to play the way I want inside of 150 yds. The MP-18SC were the perfect fit. I actually hit the MP-18s further than the JPX900. Love the feel, accuracy, and flight. I hit the ball with a lot of spin because of my swing speed... went with the KBS C-Taper in X flex. (WARNING: KBS stiff is stiffer than a standard stiff with say True Temper...) I have the X flex C-Taper, and I actually think it's a little too stiff for me on the course. I swing a little faster on a mat and launch monitor. Make sure you swing at your normal pace... and if you go KBS, maybe soft step a couple times. An X in True Temper is more like S+ in KBS. Otherwise, I'm extremely satisfied. They are classic beauty with a little help. I chose the MP-18SC 4 thru 7 and MP-18MB 8 thru PW. Not a more beautiful club made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing feels like a Mizuno is correct Great clubs. I bought a combo set of 4-5 MMC, 6-8 SC, 9-PW MBs. Absolute great set of clubs. Forged face of the club feels pure. distance variation is minimal on good hits. Could not be happier with the set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mizuno does it again.. MP-18 SC irons... Last set of Mizuno irons I owned and gamed were MX-25's in 2008, and some MP-57's. I moved onto Adams CB's irons as to me they felt as good as the Mizuno's. Over the last year I have owned and sold Srixon z745's, z945's, and two sets of z765's.. and ended up playing Ping iBlades for much of the last two seasons. Missing that Mizuno feel I started to test their MP-18 demo heads at several local places, and finally decided to get fit for a set. I ended up with the Mizuno MP-18 SC's 4-PW and couldn't be happier to have that nice smooth Mizuno feel once again.. great job in looks, feel, and quality.. glad I've moved back to Mizuno.. next time to test their wedges..!

does mizuno make a 2 iron in the mp18 line?

Asked by: techman72
I can tell you that we don't sell a 2 iron in the MP18 line. As far as if they make one, you would have to ask Mizuno.
