Q & A

Titleist Men's 917 D2 Drivers

  • Titleist engineers set out with the new 917 D2 driver to create a club that offered more forgiveness, faster ball speeds, higher launch angles, reduced spin rates, and unmatched customization.
  • The SureFit CG system allows golfers to utilize a weight that runs through the clubhead to influence both center of gravity and ball flight.
  • Radial Speed Face 2.0 thins out the club face in optimal locations to increase ball speed and maintain higher ball speeds on mis-hits.
  • Titleist redesigned the Active Recoil Channel with refined thickness leading to more flexing of the club face at impact, which promotes greater distance.
  • The 917 drivers include the SureFit hosel system, giving players the ability to adjust loft and lie independently to achieve their desired ball flight and trajectory.
  • Titleist's 917 D2 has the performance features and forgiveness that will land this club in the bags of touring professionals and high-handicappers alike.

  • SureFit CG system
  • Radial Speed Face 2.0
  • Active Recoil Channel
  • SureFit hosel system

SureFit CG System

The new SureFit CG system is positioned to allow the Center of Gravity to be moved without affecting forgiveness. SureFit CG interchangeable weights optimize spin and launch for every player with more consistent impact and spin, enhanced shot shape, weight savings and swingweight adjustability.

Radial Speed Face 2.0 + Active Recoil Channel 2.0

The updated Radial Speed Face 2.0 has a thinner perimeter club face width for greater ball speed on off-center strikes and more distance across the whole face. The new Active Recoil Channel 2.0 features a refined thickness throughout the channel to increase speed and lower spin.

SureFit Hosel

Titleist's signature SureFit Hosel is included in the new 917 drivers, allowing you to dial in loft and lie angle settings that match your swing, preferred shot shape and trajectory.

Interchangeable Weights

Interchangeable Weights

The SureFit CG system features interchangeable weights, one neutral and one that can be set to either a draw or fade bias. The 917 D2 driver comes standard with a 12 gram set but can be custom ordered with a set to match your specific swing.

Titleist Men's 917 D2 Drivers Fujikura Speeder PRO T.S. 74 is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Driver Titleist drivers continue to have a great adjustability. Ability to get club more upright very important for me. The curved club face has been great to bring the heels and toes nicely back into the middle of the fairway. Gives confidence to grip and rip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! I have used the driver 5-6 times on the range and for one round. Still getting the hang of the stiffer shaft but I love the adjustability! Bought it during a sale and it has been a great find, especially for the marked down price!

When will the 12.0 loft be available in left-handed?

Asked by: golfnavy
At this time we do not have a date to get the left handed 12 degree. If we are getting them we should have them before they are released on 10/21.

What is the best shaft for a senior player with a fairly fast swing speed?

Asked by: TJ
It will depend somewhat on your preferences. If you are looking for something heavier to go with a fast swing speed, the Fujikura Speeder Pro is a good option with a low to mid launch. If you do want a lighter a shaft, the EvenFlow Blue is the lightest option with a mid launch. The Diamana shaft sits in between these two but features the lowest launch if you are concerned with hitting the ball too high.
