Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ping G400 max I was recently in the market for new driver after playing with a Callaway big bertha fusion driver for the past year and a half that I had bought online without being fit. consequently I hit it all over the ballpark with no consistency or quality of strike. Not surprisingly my handicap ballooned. This time I was determined to finally get fit for a driver and what difference it has made. I got Fit locally on trackman4 and hit the G400 max and the new G410. as the launch numbers were pretty similar I ended up opting for the $100 less option which was the G400 max. this driver has been life-changing, I have now essentially eliminated the left side of the fairway and am back to hitting the power fade I use to several years ago. It feels like every strike off the face is solid and it seems like I have yet to miss hit it because of its forgiveness. As a result of the strike being so pure, It is also quite long. in summary, for me the G400 max has been utterly gamechanging. I would absolutely recommend it to anybody considering a new driver

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Played my first round with this driver today. I'm 63 and hit the ball straight and in the fairway with my G30. I hit the G400Max straiter and longer by about 6 yards without roll. It was wet today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long and easy My favorite driver ever, hands down. Very forgiving, and goes miles! I’m hitting up to 300 yards with a 105-110 mph swing speed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long and straight! Seriously I have just started playing the game more seriously after an injury to an elbow and decided to get a new driver. It’s the easiest 300 yard drive you are ever going to hit. I’m not even swinging hard and it out to 300. Rediculious! I tried the Callaway epic flash too because I’ve always played Callaway woods this is much better!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So forgiving, and great distance I was fitted for this driver about 4 months ago with a Kuro Kage shaft. To be honest, I was looking at Callaway and Titleist, but the moment I picked up this driver I hit it on average within 3 yards of those others, and with half the dispersion, to me dispersion is crucial. I kept repeating the test, thinking it was just me, but the results were the same every time! The G400 Max is so forgiving and so rewarding to hit. I can't remember ever being so excited to get to the next tee and pull out my driver. With the G400 Max I have hit more fairways per round than I ever have before. I absolutely love this club. Great job, Ping! You have earned a loyal customer.

My average swing speed is 114. I contact the ball on the upward angle. my handicap is 10.4 and I am looking for a little more consistency. I was thinking the 9.0 loft - stiff tour shaft. Do you think that is a good fit?

Asked by: Marc Festa
Based on those numbers, that should work fine for your swing. We always recommend being fit by someone who can see and analyze your swing to get the proper fit.

Based on swing speed, we would recommend a regular flex shaft. You can read more about choosing the right shaft in our guide at this link: https://www.tgw.com/golf-guide/choosing-the-right-shaft/
