Garmin Approach X10 GPS Watch is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value with sufficient features I purchased this Garmin over a month ago to replace another brand. It is quite easy to use and provides accurate information for my needs and skill level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent feature set, works great, like it a lot! Got this instead of an S20 or X40 ... the golf GPS features were all I wanted. The size is nice (I have skinny wrists, this fits & looks fine.) Mostly I use distances to front/middle/back, and to hazards ... occasionally the measure shot distance, and the dogleg yardage features. It's right on your wrist when you need it, but OW unobtrusive. The display is excellent, battery use is 50% per 18-hole round, and charges easily/quickly. (If it's more than that, you're playing too slow!) Have used now for 20+ rounds at my home course as well as two other unfamiliar courses, and found it really easy to interpret, to use. Highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use! I have been very pleased with my Approach X10. It is light weight and thin, the strap is sturdy. The curve of the watch face fits around my arm. Numerals are easy to read. All the functions require one press of the button or a sweep of the face. The battery is long lasting. My old golf watch was a first edition and I very enjoy the features and ease of use on my new Approach X10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use AND Easy to read I bought this about 3 weeks ago. Set up was easy and after a few times fiddling with it I found what I need. I simply want the distance to the green- front, back and middle. Very clear and easy to read( I’m 54 and my eyes ain’t what they used to be). The watch actually has a lot more features that I haven’t used yet. Definitely worth the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garmin Approach X10 I had to send it back. Could not update it without changing a lot on my computer. It was very difficult to operate on the one course I could use it on. I really liked my older Garmin but I wore it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I want Bought this to replace another brand that had a “pin” charger that broke several times. After the band actually broke off I started searching for a replacement. This golf gps is slim, easy to charge, gives me hazard distance plus scoring option. It has exceeded my expectations!

How does this rte with other Garmin golf watches? Also I am technologically challenged--Is it hard to use for the Luddite?

Asked by: passionate golfer
Hi passionate golfer, This device and the Approach S10 will probably be the easiest to use. We have many customers using these devices that don't consider themselves tech savvy.

The watch does come in 2 sizes a small/medium or a large. Both watches can be used by either gender. The one we carry is the small/medium model Small/medium: 5.2”-7.7” (132-195 mm) circumference. The Large, which we do not carry is would be: 6.4"-8.9" (162-225 mm) circumference.

Which is easier to read without reading glasses.....S20 or X10. I don't mind the S20 being a larger band, just want one I can read without glasses. thanks for answering Me

Asked by: 2dwpets
In our opinion the X10 maybe easier to read/see without glasses, as the display numbers are a little bit larger than the S20.

I have an approach x40 what is the difference between the two

Asked by: Sanman9767
The Approach X10 aims to keep things basic. Built-in features include distance and hazard data for 41,000 golf courses worldwide, but the X10 moves away from the more complex features found on the likes of the Approach X40, Approach S20 and, most prominently, the Garmin Approach S60. Features that are gone are swing analysis, swing tempo and integrations with Garmin TruSwing. Also, the shot tracking and recording of clubs used and scoring on the wrist are gone, as well as, the activity tracking features, heart rate and smartwatch notifications are also surplus to requirements. But all the key features are still present. You get distance to the pin, hazards including key lay-ups and dog-legs. The green view is still found on the Approach X10, so you can zoom in on every green, check the layout and position the flag exactly, to get a properly accurate figure. The Approach X10 also comes with a revamped Garmin Golf app, which offers scoring, handicap tracking and live leaderboards between friends on the same course. You can set up mini tournaments, and invite friends to participate.
