Q & A

Callaway PM Grind 19 Tour Grey Wedge

Callaway's PM Grind 19 wedges come to the golf course with an incredible pedigree, co-created by Phil Mickelson and Roger Cleveland. For 2019, these two legends worked to improve the PM grind to make it easier to hit three essential shots: the Knockdown (low-flying, high-spinning shot to attack the pin), the Hit & Check (a short pitch that bounces twice and stops), and the "Phlop" (that high-flying green-side shot Phil made famous). Featuring Callaway's Groove-in-Groove Technology, micro-grooves are machined into the flat parts of the face, parallel to the standard grooves, to generate more spin on chips, pitches, and lobs. The 2019 models have more offset and an even higher toe to raise the center of gravity to align with the impact point to help golfers better control trajectory. They are also made with the C-Grind sole with generous relief in the heel and toe to promote crisp, clean contact from all types of green-side lies.

Features:

  • Groove-in-Groove Technology machines the micro-grooves at a 20° angle to the standard grooves to add spin on chips, pitches, and lob shots
  • Higher toe raises the center of gravity, combined with increased offset helps golfers control trajectory on all types of wedge shots
  • C-Grind sole promotes crisp, clean contact from a variety of lies around the green with generous relief in the heel and toe areas
  • Tour-proven KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 steel wedge shaft delivers the ideal balance of feel, spin, and control
  • Premium Lamkin UTX grip in black with green accents
  • Tour Grey finish

Callaway PM Grind 19 Tour Grey Wedge 14.0 KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 Right 54.0 is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Versatile Wedge I have the 54 and 58 degree wedges. They are the most versatile wedges I have ever owned. Especially good on open face shots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pm wedges What a ball stopper out of the sand. Very impressive how turning the club makes 58 to 60 or 62. Big head allows whole head to be grooved. Awesome clubs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not your normal wedge... To put this simply, this wedge is honestly and truly 2 to 3 wedges in one. I normally carry 4 wedges (PW/GW/SW/LW), 3 of which are Mac Daddy Tour 2's. I picked up the 56 degree wedges and with the high toe and grooves I am now able to easily hit an open face with accuracy and confidence. I have already pulled my old 56/60 wedges from the bag as they are no longer needed. Of note, this wedge is a little heavier so it took a week or two to get used to, however now this is my go to wedge for chipping and pitching from under 100yds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great wedges I purchased the 54 degree wedge to compliment the 58 degree PM wedge I had from the previous year. They perform very well and are the best wedges I've ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great club for the short game Really like the tour grey color. The bounce angles work very well. Does everything I need a lob wedge to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile -- great from standard chips to open faced lobs Phil's ad gets it right -- it's the bounce behind the bounce. The club opens wide without having to do it with your hands. It also sits well for straight faced chips and pitches. And for a club designed to get the ball up, I also can flight it down without difficulty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 56 and 60 degree wedges Great short game wedge but very pricey. Was disappointed that Calaways are manufactured in Mexico and not the US.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feel and performance Purchased the 54 and 58 degree wedges in PM grind and have now played twice with them as well as went to range twice. I am getting the distance if not more in most cases when using these wedges. Around the green I am able to play several different shots with ease and confidence. While I am still getting used to these clubs, I am excited about becoming more proficient and exploring their full capabilities.
