Q & A

Overview

  • New urethane microspheres are applied to the club face to improve sound and feel without losing ball speed or COR (energy transfer at impact).
  • Tungsten weighting precisely positions the center of gravity in each club so every iron has the best launch and control possible.
  • Rogue irons are a game improvement set, designed to help all golfers with a combination for speed, distance, and forgiveness.

Features

  • 360 Face Cup with Variable Face Thickness technology expands the portion of the club face that creates fast ball speed while creating a shallow, flexible rim to boost speed on impact
  • Urethane microspheres provide the sound and feel of urethane without lowering COR or ball speed
  • Tungsten weighting precisely positions the center of gravity in each iron for optimal launch and control in every individual club
  • Rogue performance package features a substantial head size with medium topline and sole width and progressive offset
360 Face Cup + Variable Face Thickness

360 Face Cup + Variable Face Thickness

Callaway's renowned 360 Face Cup technology uses a shallow, flexible rim around the face that flexes and releases when the ball is struck to boost ball speed. Variable Face Thickness uses thicker and thinner sections to protect that ball speed even on off-center hits. Together, they expand the portion of the face that delivers fast speed.

Urethane Microspheres

Urethane Microspheres

With the fast ball speed and increased distance of a thin, flexible face, sometimes you lose sound and feel to extra vibration. Urethane helps dampen the vibration but can reduce COR and ball speed. Callaway uses elastic-urethane microspheres to improve sound and feel without losing distance benefits.

Tungsten Weighting

Tungsten Weighting

Tungsten is twice as heavy as steel, allowing Callaway to use significant weight in a small space to precisely place the center of gravity in each iron. This provides optimal launch and control specific to each individual loft.

Rogue Performance Package

Rogue Performance Package

The Rogue irons are long, accurate, and easy to hit. They feature a substantial head size, medium topline and sole width, and progressive offset for confidence at address.

Callaway Men's Rogue Irons #4-AW True Temper XP 95 Stepless is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Irons feel dead and not very long compared to my Steadheads I traded in my 2 year old Steelhead Xr 16 irons for the Rogue irons for improvement, but after 2 rounds the Rogue irons have been a complete disappointment. I need to hit one or more clubs for the same distance as the Steelheads. The hit off the Rogue irons is dull and lacks any bounce in feel. I thought Callaway improved the feel and distance with the Rogue, but my experience is just the opposite. I am a 7 handicap and I have hit some of the worst iron shots ever in the 2 rounds, several shakes and most short. The dead feel is so different from the Steelheads. Sorry to be so negative, but I was expecting the adverised improvements that Callaway has provided me in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Irons! I made the change from XR irons I have had for about 3 years and instantly noticed a difference. On a average, I'm about 5 yards longer with each iron and my shot dispersion tightened up. I work the ball from right to left almost exclusively, and that isn't a problem at all with these irons. Mis-hits don't really feel like mis-hits, and the feedback you get on center of the face strikes is phenomanal. If you are looking to make a change to your bag, these irons are definitely worth a try!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fitted for Rogue irons I was recently fitted for Rogue irons. The best thing I have ever done. I love my new irons. My bad shots are better and my good shots are a lot better as well. I can't recommend these irons enough hurry and get yourself the new game improving Rogue irons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. Out freaking standing I love this club doesn’t make me hit it any farther but it is a lot smoother and soft to the touch when you strike the ball. Awesome

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Question... Top Performer for 2018! I have always played Callaway clubs and they have never disappointed me until one of their recent drivers. My disappointment in this driver led me to a driver fitting and I switched to a different brand. I love my current driver so I decided to explore other brands and go through a fitting process for my irons (3 different sessions). I tried just about every brand out their and various models. To be honest, the Rogues were towards the bottom of my list until I hit them (not a fan of the teal). Here is what I found: The sound and feel were the first things I noticed. Every shot sounded great and the feel was nice. I could tell when I pured it but I could also tell my mishits but it didn't jar my hands like some irons. Then we looked at the data and that's when everything changed. I was hitting these easily 10 yds further than my XRs and more than that compared to the other brands I tried. I know... I know... Club makers promise more distance every year but this time is actually true and its not due to loft manipulation (compared to my XRs). To top it off my shot dispersion was very narrow especially compared to the other irons I hit. So it was a no brainer after my fittings. The Rogues were hands down the best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Should of kept my old Irons I had previous Callaway XRPros loved them!! thought maybe time to try new technology so I purchased the Rouge Iron after hearing on the Golf Channel radio how great they are! a $1000.00 later did not see any more distance but most of all the feed back on miss hits was horrendous...sounded and felt like I hit it off the hosel I played 5 rounds thinking maybe give them a chance? I'm done, unfortunately I sold my old XR's to a friend and he's not giving them back, loves them I did hit the Rouge Pro that a golfing buddy has, felt and hit soo much better so I'm going in that direction.
