Callaway Men's Big Bertha OS Irons

Exo-Cage Golf Irons Unlock More Distance

The new Big Berth OS golf irons bring Callaway's revolutionary club head construction, the Exo-Cage, to irons for more distance in a whole new way. Exo-Cage Technology is a super strong chassis made with incredibly lightweight material, allowing Callaway engineers to place weight in strategic locations for greater forgiveness. This also works in tandem with the next generation of 360 Face Cup technology to function more efficiently for faster ball speed and greater distance. You get faster ball speeds across the entire club face which means more distance with every swing of your irons. Callaway's Standing Wave technology is now loaded with tungsten to lower the CG, while progressive center of gravity in each golf iron gives you optimial launch, distance and control with every club in the iron set.

Callaway Men's Big Bertha OS Irons features:

  • Set Composition: #4-AW
  • New Exo-Cage Technology is lightweight and strong, allowing more weight to be placed in strategic locations to increase forgiveness and club face function
  • Next generation 360 Face Cup technology brings club face COR up to the USGA limite for even faster ball speeds and more distance
  • Tungsten-loaded Standing Wave in the sole lowers the CG for higher launch with longer carry and more speed on shots hit low on the club face
  • Progressive CG moves the center of gravity progressively lower as you move through the set for higher launch and long carry with long irons and greater control with short irons
  • Stock Shafts: True Temper Speed Step 80 Steel • UST Recoil ES 460 Graphite
  • Stock Grip: Callaway Universal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As expected from Callaway..A great club I've had every Callaway iron produced in the last century it seems & every new set I get they are better & better. These OS irons are definitely the best Callaway irons thus far. Might try the new Rogue irons but its hard to believe they could be better then these OS. I've said that before but Callaway manages to beat my expectations with every new model. By the way...this holds true with Callaways Drivers, woods & Hybrids. Best club manufacturer in the market. They blow away Taylor Made who waste all their time in marketing advertisements vs. producing a better product. By the way I'm a 71 yr. old 4 handicap & know a thing or two about golf

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels great so far. I am still learning to use them effectively. So far I would say that I love the feel, and in looking at where on the clubface I am making contact, they are about perfect! Not sure if I chose the correct shafts, but may just take time to adjust. I expected to have to change my yardage, as of course the BB OS have the club numbers are one number higher than the "old" standard. I bought a Rogue 3 iron to go into the set for that reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game Improvement Clubs for an Aging Golfer I was losing distance in my Apex irons due to age and two hip replacements. My friend at Unique Golf, Babylon Village recommended the BB OS irons. I hit them indoors and they felt solid. When I took them outside they were about a club and a half longer. This allowed me to swing a little slower, with the goal of making more solid contact, as opposed to my tendency to overswing to try and keep up with the distances that I used to hit my Apex irons. The winter interceded, so hopefully I will outdoors shortly and working my hcp back down to the 9 that I reached when I bought my Apexes five years ago. I have been working in the simulator all winter and am confident that my new BB OS irons will take my hcp back down from from the high of 14.7 that rose to last year.
