Big Bertha...A New Distance Generation

Callaway Mens Big Bertha Alpha 815 Drivers is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Cally Driver ever I've owned more different drivers over the years then most golfers have changed their cleats. And I've learned a lot about why they work or why they don't. I had been using all the main company's latest and didn't think much about the Cally Big Bertha Alpha 815 driver until I played with someone at our course who had one. He let me hit it as much as I wanted. It was set just the way I would set it up for me and the first hit was amazing. The first thing I noticed was how buttery smooth it felt on contact. No vibration or shock at all. Then I watched the ball climb straight down the middle. I watched it and watched it until it finally came down. It was 20 yards farther then I had hit this year. I'm 68 years old and a 12 cap. I play every day. I measured this drive with my gps and it went 270 yards. I went and bought one for myself from TGW. Since I've been losing yardage every year it's put me back to 58 years old. I've been averaging about 255-260 with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, not great This driver takes some getting used to. I initially set it up at nine degrees and favoring a draw because I tend to hit the ball high and my misses are right. With these settings I was hitting low hooks pretty consistently. It took some tweaking, but I think I have found the right settings for optimal ball flight. The ball seems to spin less with this club, but I was expecting much more distance. I haven't upgraded my driver in four years and don't hit this one any farther than my old Taylormade. Overall, I guess I am pleased with the club. Again, good, not great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Gravity Core is a great feature Man for being a stock shaft (Rogue) it was perfect, really soft feel, and not a loud sound on contact, which i like. The head is smaller like the Titliest D3. From the 15 range balls I hit I was getting 260-280 with carry. This club will be in my bag once the price is cut in half.
