Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I'd hoped for. I suppose it's always a chance when anyone orders a club without hitting it first. I was confident in Callaway's performance and quality, so on a whim I decided to purchase this hybrid. The look, feel and weighting is exactly what I was looking for, and this is the easiest club I've ever hit. Very pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Hybrid I Have Played With out a doubt this is the best Hybrid that I have ever hit. It is accurate, long and workable. I only keep one hybrid in my bag and for the past two golf seasons it has been the Callaway Apex Hybrid, stiff graphite shaft. I am a 9 handicap and it is easy to hit only I am not sure it would be the best option for a high handicap player.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Callaway Apex 20 Degree Hybrid Every review that I read about this club said that high handicappers need not apply! They basically said that a hack like me could not play this club (Obviously I'm paraphrasing here) The fact is, I'm 70 years old and I'm a 22 handicapper. I have never found a hybrid that gave me more accuracy, more distance or more consistent ball striking. It is incredibly easy to launch and without a doubt the best hybrid I have ever used! I bought it to compliment my Apex CF16 irons which are also the best irons I've ever used (and I'm not supposed to be able to hit those either!) There is so much more to handicaps than just ball striking! There are good ball strikers with high handicaps and there are low handicappers who are mediocre ball strikers and club reviewers need to stop excluding mid to high handicappers from using so called players clubs. The bottom line is that even if you're only a half way decent ball striker, you need to give this hybrid a try because it is a fantastic golf club!!! By the way, I should probably mention that I am using UST Recoil 450 F2 (Senior) shafts on this hybrid as well as my irons and this is in fact a low kick point and pretty flexible shaft which does make it easier to launch the ball with these clubs. Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing distance, incredible from rough I hit the 5 hybrid from the rough the same distance that I hit my taylormade 4 hybrid from the fairway. It cuts through it like it isn't even there. Not the most forgiving hybrid out there, but very forgiving for a club with this small head / iron-like profile. Really good looking club too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what I need it to Bought it for shots I might like to hit in certain conditions I'd rather not hit 3 or 4 iron and it does what I want. Never liked hybrids cause they always have a tendency to go a little left when you least need it, this club goes on intended line for me with relative ease. Great club for the lower handicap player I'd say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my new favorite hybrid Bought Apex hybrid based on numerous excellent reviews and similarity to Adams a2, which has been my favorite hybrid. The reviews are accurate and its plays like the a2, except I think the ball flight is a little higher. Well struck shots are pin seeking lasers. My usual miss is toward the toe which cost me 5-10 yards and off line to the right. An acceptable miss in most cases. I get good distance, but I am sure there are longer hybrids available. The accuracy and consistent good distance is what is important to me. Hats off to Callaway for using a premium grip and shaft as standard. Being able to get custom specs (length & lie angle) is a plus, which I believe helps my accuracy with the Apex. A pleasant surprise has been how well the Apex plays out of bermuda grass rough. That is something I was not expecting. It is my go to club for shots out of the rough now.
