Callaway Men's 2016 Apex Pro Irons #4-AW Project X Steel 6.0 Right is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clubs for most golfers I’m a fairly high handicap who was told I shouldn’t be playing these irons. I just loved the looks and bought them without hitting prior to purchase. I went from SGI irons to these and have to say all of the people who say these are for low single digit handicaps are full of it. I hit these better than my SGI irons all day long. I doubt I am the only high handicap player whose score is based upon bad putting and erratic driving, but is a pretty good ball striker with all irons/wedges. If this sounds like you and you like the looks of these clubs, go for it! Forgiveness is all relative. Misfits are quite a bit shorter than with SGI irons, but they tend to go much straighter. That’s a trade off I will take. I have never had trouble getting the ball high, and actually wanted to flight the ball lower so the higher COG on these clubs helps my game. I hit my old irons a ton (190 yard 7 iron) and have to admit I lost about 10 yards with these clubs. But who cares if you get the distance you need by clubbing up? I’d say it certainly has more to do with the weaker lofts than the club construction. Bottom line is these are great clubs, I find them very easy to hit and great to shape shots with. Don’t be afraid to buy just because some snob tells you they are only for elite ball strikers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clubs just as advertised. This is my third set of Callaway Irons starting with the XR’s to the steelheads and now the Apex pro 16s. I stayed with Callaway because the quality of their clubs is excellent. The durability of the apex pro irons is unreal. I’ve played about 12 rounds with these clubs and they still look brand new. All the reviews I read on these clubs were right on. Hits just slightly off center have immediate feedback that you didn’t hit it on the screws. But the outcome was still very forgiving. Hit one on the screws, it’s long straight and perfect spin. They were delivered right as scheduled and exactly as ordered. Very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Callaway Apex Pro Iron are fabulous The Callaway Apex Pro irons are by far the best irons I have owned. I find them to be accurate but forgiving if I don’t hit it perfectly. I love the way they look when I am over them at address, which gives me confidence that I will be hitting a great shot. The feel and sound they make is fantastic. I also believe Callaway has the best customer service if you call and need something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Irons The look standing over these irons is confidence inspiring. The feel and feedback is something I'm still getting use to, far more than my X20s. I purchased with the dynamic gold SL. So the weight is noticeably less, a good thing. The ordering process was easy. But no discounts or coupons left me a little disappointed. $980 for 5-PW set, standard lie and length. But, to my surprise, the clubs were shipped overnight. I had selected ground shipping. I checked my order status and it said they completed processing and shipped. The next afternoon they were in my hands. From Mexico to Cupertino CA in 24 hours. That was cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels like butter through the ball! Love these irons from the moment I first hit them. Hitting the sweet spot is not hard for me, so every time I do, it's like a knife through butter. They swing themselves, all you have to do is put a good swing on them and the club just moves effortlessly! They are very well balanced, so swinging them is easy! I recently won two closest to the pin on par 3's with my 7 iron! Love it!

what does Flex .0 mean?

Asked by: poblo
Flex 6.0 means Stiff+, which is equivalent to a x-stiff shaft for the project X. A 5.5 would be a stiff flex.

I'm looking to purchase the Apex irons, 5 - pw or possibly 6 - pw but I don't see that option. Is it possible to purchase such a set? I do not want the other clubs.

Asked by: prahs2000
That set could be ordered, but it would have to be a custom order. Under the enter custom specs tab above the photo of the club.
