Bat-Caddy X3R Remote Control Electric Golf Caddy is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this. It was easy to assemble. Works well and easy to use. Now I can walk instead of using a golf cart and still get some exercise.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke on 1st day of use Test was great day I assembled it 1st round on 6th hole it started spinning in circles. Remote wouldn't turn it off. Top controls wouldn't work too. Had to disconnect battery and push it back to club house 1.5 miles. To say unhappy is understatement. Didn't finish round and I was playing great till cart malfunctioned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall quite pleased but a couple issues. Overall I am quite pleased with this product. At 66 years I am able to walk most 18 hole courses and still have plenty of energy left at the end. It's surprising how much fatigue is reduced not having to push a cart. I've used the cart for an entire spring/summer/fall season so far and, like the other reviewers here, am pleased. I do, however, have a few issues and suggestions. The rear support strut sticks straight out and does little to keep the cart from tipping over backwards. I found it's best to go up hills with one hand on the handle. Also, said strut is made a plastic and after only a few rounds actually broke. I fashioned a steel strut with a 25 degree angle to retrofit the original and it now functions and works perfectly. However, that cost $$ to have a welding shop do the work. My second issue is that the cart occasionally just stops on its own while walking along a fairway. This is inconvenient, especially if you are walking close behind as you run into the handle a little lower than waist high...ouch. Finally, I think the remote software could be better designed. A pause and resume on the remote would be a big improvement. As it is, your speed starts from zero after each stop and you have to press the forward button four times to get to a normal walking speed. Overall, this is a good product for the money, but could easily be a great product with a few tweeks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It was a great deal with the coupon You need to use the right golf bag. The Sun Mountain S1 bag keeps shifting and the cart tends to go towards the side of the weight. It would help if the cart holder bracket arms had locking ratchets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great fun to use The instruction manual that came with my cart seemed to be for a product a couple of years old. I had a couple of features on mine that were not addressed in the owners manual. But, I was able to find the answers I needed in the on-line manual. The manual was poor at best, but putting it together was intuitive and I didn't have any trouble. I did try and reverse the scorecard/umbrella holder to accommodate my being left handed, but was unable to do so. The green battery light is very hard to see and I thought I had a dying battery my first time out. I didn't buy this cart expecting to have the finest quality out there. I bought it as my first introduction into using an electric cart and because TGW had a great deal, 20% off and free shipping. I had to wait 3 weeks for it as the factory was on backorder. Now that it is together and I'm getting familiar with it, I can tell you this thing is not only great fun to use on the course, but it also helps me keep my energy level much higher than using a push cart. I've used it for 3 rounds, a flat course, a very hilly course, and 1 course with moderate hills. The cart has plenty of power and did everything I asked it to do. Like I said, this thing is fun to use. If I had it to do all over again, I'd still buy this cart based on the price and performance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I just received my new BatCaddy X3R & got to use it twice before the snow hit in Pa. Practically completely assembled out of the box. Just need to unfold it, attach the wheels & accessories. Charged the battery over night and went 18 holes and the first battery indicator light never went out. I was a little concerned because our course has 3 big steep hills on the last three holes. This was the main reason I bought the electric caddy. I didn’t want to have to push it up the hills with a dead battery. No worries, it will likely do at least 27 holes. The only issue I have is that it does not steer well on cart paths or parking lots. The front wheel doesn’t want to slide. It steers by varying the speed of the rear drive motors. It’s fine in the grass. I may have too many golf balls in my bag. And like the other reviews, you can’t put the remote in your pocket while you bend over to mark your ball. It will push a button and will take off. Maybe the remote just need a on / off switch. Overall a great decision. Not tired at all after 18.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Two Year Review This is a review after two years - my original review is the oldest one listed. My BatCaddy is still holding up well. I have had a charger issue in the first year which BatCaddy addressed quickly and with no charge. Most recently, my second issue is that an axle pin broke - BatCaddy shipped the replacement part right out and the unit is working great again. I probably have about 40 rounds on the cart as I usually only use it in the fall and winter - and overall, the cart seems pretty new. There are no rattles or loose joints, occasionally I oil the axles a bit, but that hasn't been more than once a year. I do wish the handle was aluminum or metal, not plastic, that has always seemed the weak spot, although it isn't really giving at all. I also wish there was a way in which a large bag (e.g. a C130) could stay better straightened. What I have done is to fashion my own bungie strap which is tied to the main boom and has the same give on each side, and that clips to the side handles on the C130, and that keeps the bag straight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best of both worlds-walking and not sweating! So far, so good. Assembled easily and I'm getting the hang of it's use. Injured one golfing partner with a nice Titleist imprint on the back of her leg the first day but I have better control of it after a couple weeks on our hilly courses. It's very nice to walk a course without laboring under a bag or pushing a cart. My wife, in a cart, dislikes walkers but I kept up pretty well and finished under 3 hours yesterday. TGW delivered in 3 days. More than a toy but fun, too.
