Mizuno JPX-EZ Forged Irons... Risk Rewarded!
Mizuno Mens JPX-EZ Forged Irons
Great set of irons !
I purchased these irons 4months ago, and could not be more pleased. I have won a La. Scratch Senior event , and have several top ten finish's in the Emerald Coast Senior events as well. This weekend I made (7) birdies from 15 ft. and in in a club event ! I changed to these clubs from a set of MP 59's and have really been happy with the switch. Now at the age of 59, I was looking for a little more forgiveness but not a loss of distance or shot making capability, these have given me all that I was looking for. Great job Mizuno !!

I got these irons at the beginning of the summer, went to a brand agnostic club fitter and tried these out against about 10 other irons in the game improvement class. I've played forged Mizuno irons for over the last decade, but wanted more forgiveness than the blade-like irons I grew up with. These have been great so far, my GIR last year was 38%, this year at 44%. Could actually be higher, I'm still getting used to the extra yardage and I've missed long a few times.
The orange color scheme doesn't bother me, I'll play whatever hits it best and these were the best in my fitting. People talk a lot about feel with clubs, most of those people are not at the caliber where feel really matters, but you can feel a good shot with these clubs. I like that if I do make good contact, I know it. If not, I'm surprisingly still pretty consistent.
Last year I played to a 5 handicap, I think these could play to people in a wide range. The trend now on tour is to get more game improvement, what happens on tour usually trickles down to the rest of the golf world. Only complaint is that I went with Steelfiber shafts and those had to be custom since Mizuno didn't carry them as one of their shaft options at the time. I'm very happy with these clubs so far, looking forward to a fun summer of golf.

great looks and nicely forgiving. Get that traditional Mizuno feel with a club that can handle being hit all over it and still get in the right zip code.

I got the JPX Forged a week ago and have played two rounds. I absolutely love these clubs; the look, feel and quality is top notch. I considered other brands before making the decision to go with Mizuno, I'm very happy I made the decision to go with Mizuno.
