TaylorMade Mens RocketBladez Irons
Introducing New TaylorMade RocketBladez Irons
Higher, Longer, Straighter, And Quicker-Stopping. That's RocketBladez
Inspired by the distance-enhancing benefits of the RBZ Speed Pocket technology
that makes RocketBallz fairway woods and Rescues so fast and long, TaylorMade
engineers found a way to incorporate a Speed Pocket into these revolutionary
TaylorMade RocketBladez irons. The result is a once-in-a-lifetime innovation
that revolutionizes iron performance not only in terms of distance, but also
distance-control and feel.
The Speed Pocket - The Little Thing That Changes Everything!
Flexes and rebounds at impact, increasing the speed of the face to promote
faster ball speed and a higher, stronger ball flight for more distance and
a higher ball flight that lands on a steeper, quicker-stopping decent angle.
You'll feel more comfortable going for the pin from farther out.
Fantastic feel promoted by a specially formulated polyurethane that fills
the Speed Pocket and quiets vibration without significantly slowing/inhibiting
the flex of the pocket. (It also keeps debris out.)
The Speed Pocket advantage is especially effective on impacts made low
on the face where 72% of iron shots hit by most golfers are struck. So it's

TaylorMade...The #1 Irons in Golf
TaylorMade Mens RocketBladez Irons
This is without a doubt the easiest way I've found to take strokes off my game. The distance and accuracy these clubs provide put a smile on my face the first time I took them to the range. Great for higher handicappers like me.

I added the Rocketbladez 3-iron to my Rocketbladez 4-AW matched set. My Rocketbladez replaced a set of Wilson Fat Stick 2's and are the best irons I've ever played. My 4-iron 200 yards travels with accuracy. I hit a 9-iron over a 40 foot tree (I lied about 20 yards short of the tree) 185 yards to the edge of an uphill green that was about 20 feet above my lie this year, I was astounded. The Approach wedge provides me a club for a distance that I've never felt comfortable with (80-100 yards). These clubs provide very good distance without the need to over swing. My addition of the 3-iron from TGW provides me with a club that should allow me to play most courses without the need to hit fairway woods.

RocketBladez Irons are longer!
I waited about a month before writing this review because it took a few rounds before I was adjusted to the differences between these clubs and my older Taylor Made LT2 irons. My old clubs had less offset, a thinner top line and weaker lofts than the RocketBladez. The adjustment was about half a club for my game and since I'm over 70, I can use the distance.

Confidence inspiring irons!
I am a 4 handicapper using Mizuno Mp 63 irons for a while. I have been a forged irons snob for a long time and wouldn't touch anything else. The MP63s were delight to hit when you make great contact but weren't very forgiving when your game is little off. After all the hype, I decided to try the Rocketbladez irons. I went to one of the local golf stores and tried it on the launch monitor.
My jaws dropped after looking at the numbers on the launch monitor. With my mizunos, my avg carry for 7 iron is 165 yds (170 when amped up). With the rocketbladez 7 iron, I was easily averaging 185 yards of carry distance. I know the skeptics will say that the lofts are jacked up. But you also have to look at the launch angle and spin rates. I was hitting the 7 iron higher than my mizuno 8 iron. The ball just flies off the face like a rocket.... no pun intended.
I decided to buy a 4 iron and replaced the hybrid in my bag. After just couple of rounds, I fell in love with the club. Par 5s were getting easier to reach in two and with lot more control. I also started teeing off with it on short and medium par 4s. After few months of carrying it in my bag, I also added the 3 iron with Project X 5.5 shaft in it. The heavier shaft helps keep the trajectory to a penetrating flight and the ball still goes a mile.
By this time, my forged snobbishness was dwindling. I finally broke down few weeks back and got 5-PW. I have played four rounds with them so far and my buddies are losing some money to me. ;) These irons are definitely forgiving, have good feel to them, not too bulky and have understated looks. I have so much confidence hitting shots that I find every excuse now to use my irons. In fact, I played a round with only my irons at my club (6500 yds) and scored as good as playing with driver and 3 metal (shot 76).
I highly recommend these to low and high handicappers alike. They will help your game and make it more fun.
