Staff Zip as in Zero; a zero compression core that is the softest in the game.
Zip as in speed; faster off the tee for maximum distance. Zip as in spin;
shot-stopping control into and around the green. It's the perfect option for
players seeking soft feel, great distance and greenside control.
Staff Zip Golf Balls feature:
a zero compression core is so soft that it registers "zero" on golf's Atti
compression testing equipment
Behind the patent-pending
zero compression core is a high-velocity Neodymium catalyzed polybutadiene
The unique rubber blend
in the core uses a minimum of curatives to produce an ultra-soft (very low
compression) core with good resilience
Patented HPF mantle
layer encases the zero compression core with a speed-generating mantle for
distance and higher iron spin rates
Super-soft ionomer cover
grabs the club face for higher spin and amazingly soft feel
shallow dimples rip through the air to create a more stable, penetrating flight

A good value for this price range ball
I normally play the WilsonStaff DUO. I'm a male 59yr old playing to a 2. At 85 degrees I drive the ball 280yds and hit a 50 degree wedge about 106.
The Zip ball didn't feel quite as soft as a DUO, and I thought I lost a little distance off the tee. The spin around the greens might have been slightly higher. In general the Zip seems to perform satisfactory at this price point.
If the $/ball is the same between a DUO and a Zip I would play the DUO.

Good for the price
Only purchased these balls based on price and thought I'd give them a shot to practice with. They are not a top tier ball like the PROV1x that I normally play, but they're not bad. Feel good off the clubface and putter. Great spin and control for a mid-range ball. Only downfall is they seem to get beat up pretty easily, so not very durable in my opinion.
